FitZip.org is a San Antonio based non-profit organization committed to helping youth understand the value of living a healthy lifestyle. We believe that physical fitness is directly tied to mental and emotional well-being. Our goal is to teach youth healthy habits for life.
We also believe that youth in lower income and single-family households are at great risk. Their environment and surroundings offer little support in regards to physical activity and proper eating habits. FitZip.org offers this support to the kids and their parents through our its programs FitZipCamps, FitZip Nutrition, Earn-A-Bike Co-op, EAB Bike Camps. FitZipCamps offers Triathlon and Duathlon day camps during the summer. The 5-day Monday to Friday program is designed to introduce kids ages 7 to 14 to the sport of triathlon. Certified coaches and experienced triathletes provide instruction on basic swimming, cycling and running techniques, bicycle safety and maintenance, transition and nutrition. Through Triathlon training, FitZip teaches campers the importance of goal setting, training, discipline, nutrition, safety, and accountability.
