Your role as virtual bike build partner.

This year you will have to rely on your communication abilities to guide the student and the family in building their bike.  After the introduction, the event moderator will ask each participant and volunteer to go to their break out rooms. Zoom allows for 50 break out rooms and therefore we should be able to accommodate a participant with a volunteer.

When in your break out rooms you will guide the student step by step in building their bike. At the beginning it is awkward as your left is their right and vice versa, but eventually you will learn to communicate with each other and get the job done. During volunteer training you will be able to learn more on how to do this successfully.  You can prepare for the event  watching the videos and reading the resources we have posted on this page.

If you have not used Zoom and you need some help getting set up, we would be more than happy to get you going.

Thank you again for supporting the Earn A Bike mission.
